The Ray Piston Snubber is designed to reduce pressure spikes and surges when installed prior to pressure measuring instruments (gauges, transducers, switches). Using piston snubbers to absorb damaging pressure surges will assure accuracy of pressure readings, reduce maintenance costs, and extend the life of the pressure instrument. Through its unique design, the Ray Snubber's rugged piston moving within its chamber kicks out the sediment and pipe scale that clogs needle valves, filters, porous metal discs and other designs. To accomodate variations in fluid viscosity, every snubber is delivered with 3 different sized easily changed pistons.
